men and earrings

men wearing earrings at one time was seldom seen, and like wise even women seldom had pierced ears in favor of the dreaded clipons which were popular in the 1950's. woen with pierced ears was frowned upon by some of the more righteous and conservative society. Into the 1970's ear piercing became popular particuarily with the younger generation who were maybe a little more rebellious. men have since followed this trend but in lesser numbers to that of women. men tend to wear small hoops around 12mm or diamond studs or what has become even more popular is stretching the tunnels and wearing plugs. Men and earrings isn't even considered as an issue as tattoos have now taken over in popularity

heels, jeans and earrings

It is a long while since I last posted a blog about wearing heels. Men wearing heels is no different to say wearing a hat or maybe wearing earrings these days. I like to wer generally ankle boots or loafers with a 3" heels, and always wear earrings, either 12mm hoop gold rings aor CZ diamond stud earrings. while it may not be an every day sight for many, no notices in any adverse way. to walk into any shop or cafe buy a coffee sit down and enjoy etc. Go into a pub wearing 4" ankle boots. I feel comfortable with skinny jeans matched with what ever the climate dictates summer or winter

Walking with strangers

http://www.hannahs.co.nz/product/Dressage/?i=228230 When i drove home which was an 8 hour drive, i picked up two young german girls, did lots of short walks with them, they commented that imwalked well in the boots, in germany they see a lot of men in heels. It was incredible to be talking about my new boots and sharing walks together.

Had an awesome week

Been out of town for a week, did a lot of walking around the town i was staying, in my 4" heeled hiking boots with skinny jeans. Later i went into a shop where i saw some beutiful 5' stiletto heeled ankle boots,
I was first person in the shop and only the owner there, so i asked her if she had the boots in size 10. She went away, and brought a a pair. Opened them up and unpacked them for. Me. I tried them on, thye fitted perfectly so i bought them she thoughtt no  they looked nice too. I went back to the shop later in the day to ask if there were any heel tips in the box as i didnt check, there was a young assitant there, she went away and found the owner, she couldnt stop smiling may be it was her first time to see a guy in 5" stiletto. I did a lot of walking both in the evenings when there was a lot of  people around and early in the morning too. Some people did notice them buT made no comment. It was fun to stop and chat when a woman standing outside a cafe' for a smoke wearing 4" wedge boots, we chatted for a while, but no comment at all about my boots which i am certain attracted her to me to have a chat in the first place. It is quite a buz to be standing next to some one in heels.

Bought new ankle boots with stiletto heels and walked with a women who loved them

I bought another pair of ankle boots,I have been looking for a while for calf length pointed toe, stileto boots, but so far no luck. Then i saw these awesome ankle boots with a stiletto heel of 4 1/2". Only trouble was they had onlybsize 9 in black, size 9 fitted ok so i bought them the size ten was available only in dark red. The balck size 9 was a tad tight with out socks but were wonderful to wear, however, when i tried them out on a one k walk, i found they werent so comfortable, so baxk to the shop and bought the size 10 dark red. They fit beutifully and walk so well in them without stepping out of them unlike pumps or court stilettos. On my first ever daytime walk in stiletto heels, i met a young woman ( with legs up to her arm pits)who just happened to love men wearing heels, i offered her a cigarette, then we walked together for about 2 kilometres, she was wearing 5" wedges so we both walked about the same speed. Probably the most enjoyable walk i have ever taken in heels in daytime.

Getting a lot braver

I have bought a pair of oxfords with a low heel of about 3" I wear them almost anywhere, and are the heel you wear when you aren't wearing heels. As for my heeled hiking boots, I have taken a lot of walks where there are a lot of people but with my trousers rolled up by about 4" which shows the entire heel all the time. Yes some people did notice, and a few weeks ago was wolf whistled at. Kind of nice I suppose. Confidence is the key, but also confidence builds as you wear them by not receiving adverse comments. People just don't seem to do that. But it is important to wear heels suitable for the occasion, inso much as not wearing stilettos for normal day walking, loud colours,or somehow trying to make a statement. Being subtle I believe is what it is about. I have 9 pair of heels, but only four pair get to be worn out doors in public. The others are private such as my 5" stiletto court heels and my 6" peeptoe stilletos. They are all great fun. Happy heeling everyone
